Task 7: 4-Layer Avionics Flight Computer & Telemetry Node

  • Author: Aayushman Das (ETCE, Jadavpur University)
  • Target Platform: eSim v2.5

Key Technical Details:

  • Stackup: 4-Layer board (Top Signal, Solid Ground, Dedicated 3.3V Power, Bottom Signal).
  • Subsystems: ESP32-WROOM-32U, Quectel L86 GNSS, BMP390L barometer, LSM6DSOX IMU, 128 Mbit SPI Flash, and AP63203 buck converter (2S–6S to 3.3V @ 2A).
  • DRC: Passed with 0 Errors, 0 Unconnected Nets (24 deliberate ESP32 thermal pad via exclusions).
  • Portability: All 3D STEP models encapsulated locally using ${KIPRJMOD}.
